Get ready to take the field! The Galarraga Baseball Academy Tigres are hosting Fall tryouts in June for competitive players ready to elevate their game.
 

Tryout Location: Bee Creek Sports Complex 
 
Dates: Thursday, June 25th and Friday, June 26th
 

Tryout Schedule by Age Group:
 

  • 9U, 10U, 11U: 9am - 11:15

  • 12U, 13U, 14U: 11:45 - 2pm

 

Whether you're a seasoned player or looking to join a high-performance team for the first time, this is your chance to showcase your skills and join a program focused on development, discipline, and competitive excellence.
 

Pre-registration encouraged. Walk-ups welcome!

For players wanting to practice now, Summer hours are 11am - 1pm. Once you have signed up for the membership, you can schedule pitching & hitting on the lessons tab.

Coach Angel Garcia – 35+ Years of Coaching Excellence Coach Angel Garcia brings over 35 years of coaching experience across youth, high school, and collegiate summer ball. A trusted developer of players, Angel spent 15 years with Action Baseball Club and has coached at St. Stephen’s High School and Southwestern University. His leadership, experience, and steady presence make him an invaluable part of our staff.

Hitting coach Terrmel Sledge – MLB & NPB Veteran, Chicago Cubs Assistant Hitting Coach We’re fired up to welcome Terrmel Sledge as our new hitting coach! A former MLB outfielder, NPB star, and Chicago Cubs assistant hitting coach, Terrmel brings big‑league experience, elite teaching ability, and a calm, confident presence that elevates every player he works with. His addition is a game‑changer for our program.

Coach José “Coach V” Villafana – Former Cardinals Draft Pick & Academy Founder Coach V brings more than 25 years of coaching experience, plus four years in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He founded and operated his own baseball academy for 20 years, coaching players from 7U through the collegiate level. His passion, positivity, and commitment to player growth set the tone for excellence.

Coach Quad Johnson – Elite Outfield & Hitting Coach With 17+ years of high‑level playing experience, including time in Japan, Coach Quad specializes in speed, outfield development, and hitting approach. As Co‑Founder of Apex Performance, he trains athletes from youth levels to WBC‑caliber talent. His fast‑paced, detail‑driven style pushes players to unlock their next gear.

Coach Roman Johnson – Multi‑Sport Athlete & Apex Performance Co‑Founder A former Westlake Varsity standout, Roman brings a rare blend of toughness, precision, and leadership. As a licensed EMT and multi‑sport athlete, he connects with players on and off the field, helping them elevate their mindset and performance.
