Introducing the GBA Cubs - our first softball team!

Galarraga Baseball Academy is excited to launch our very first softball program—the 5U GBA Cubs!

Designed for girls ages 5 and 6, the Cubs are all about building confidence, learning fundamentals, making friends, and falling in love with the game of softball. This is where future athletes take their first steps onto the field in a positive, encouraging, and fun environment.

Our Development-Focused Approach

At the 5U/6U level, development comes first. Rather than filling every weekend with tournaments, we're focused on creating a strong foundation of skills, teamwork, and game understanding.

Fall 2026 Tournament Schedule

August: 1 Local Tournament
September: 1 Local Tournament
October: 1 Local Tournament
November: End-of-Season Tournament

Why Not More Tournaments?

At this age, young athletes benefit most from practice, repetition, and fun competition.
Attention spans are still developing.
Players are learning the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, and teamwork.
More practice time creates better long-term development than a heavy tournament schedule.

What to Expect - Our typical fall schedule includes:

Two practices per week
One scrimmage every 2–3 weeks
Three to four tournaments throughout the season
